WHO I AM

My name is Linda Fountain. I am a recently retired biology teacher with 27 years in the classroom. I also am a certified medical technologist and have valuable experience and knowledge of the medical laboratory setting. I have extensive experience in lesson design and implementation. I am certified to teach secondary chemistry and biology. I have taught various levels of biology including AP Biology, Honors Bio, College Prep Bio, Botany, and Microbiology. My methods of teaching have proven to be very effective as I have had many students continue to study biology in college in various fields such as medicine, biotechnology, nursing, sports medicine and others. My success as a teacher may also be measured by my past AP Biology students’ performance on the College Board Advanced Placement Exam. I am pleased to say, they did quite well with many obtaining scores of 4-5 on the exam throughout the years.

I am comfortable tutoring all levels of high school biology as well as the undergraduate level. I can help you with any biology content, as well as the interpretation of many biology laboratory experiments.

I can help you with test preparation whether it be for a class you are taking or an upcoming standardized test such as the SAT subject test (biology) or the AP Bio College Board test.

HOW IT WORKS

Online tutor sessions
My hours can be flexible to fit your needs - sessions could be afternoons, early evenings, or during your free time or study hall during your school day
Sessions are typically 1 hour
If tutoring 1 individual, my rate is $45/hour
If tutoring a group (more than 1 individual), my rate is $25/hour per student
Parental/Guardian permission required if you are a minor
